Helen Ellis Newton

Helen Marie Ellis Newton, 61, of Washington, died Saturday, November 24, 2018, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born September 6, 1957, in Washington, a daughter of the late James and Margaret Davis Ellis. A graduate of Washington High School, Ms. Newton worked in production for Cooper Crouse-Hinds, Washington. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are five sons, Patrick Ellis, Dontae Newton, Oper Ellis, Avery Turner Jr., and Malik Turner; three daughters, Shanna Ellis, Lauren (Alex) Hockett and Shaelyn Newton, all of Washington; two brothers, James Ellis and David (Chantel) Ellis, both of Washington; three sisters, Alice Ellis and Patricia Ellis, both of Washington, and Margaret Ellis Mallory of Canonsburg; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Lawrence Newton Jr., a brother, Charles Ellis; a sister, Grace Ellis; and a grandchild, Anthony Ellis. Friends will be received from 3 till 5 p.m., the time of service, on Thursday, November 29th, in William G.
