Harold E. Cummins, 74, of Avella, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, December 1, 2018, in his home. He was born September 28, 1944, in Washington, a son of the late Charlie Herold Cummins and Sarah Genevieve Stollar Cummins. Mr. Cummins was a graduate of Uniontown High School and owned and operated Kuhn’s Flooring for 35 years. A family man, he was the best dad ever and an amazing grandfather. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed cutting wood, and loved his John Deere tractor. He also loved food, especially Oreos. Mr. Cummins was a generous man and would give someone the shirt off his back. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Claysville. On July 15, 1992, he married Connie Harton, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Stacy Zappi (Ed) of Avella and Jamie Cummins-Galloway (Earl) of Raleigh, North Carolina; a sister, Louise Ranson of Greenville, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Camden Zappi (Carly), Evyn Zappi, Madison Zappi, Chancey Gray, Joseph Gray, Billy Gray and Ciara Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Makenna Anderson and Leanna Arbogast; several nieces and nephews; and many great friends. Deceased are a step-daughter, Renae Brownlee, and a sister, Loretta King-Lindsay. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Washington Cemetery at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 6th, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating.
