Harold William “Butch” Vactor, Jr., 80, of Washington, died December 21, 2021, in his home. He was born August 24, 1941, in Washington, a son of the late Harold William Vactor, Sr., and Frances Bates. Mr. Vactor was a graduate of Washington High School, a veteran of the Army, and worked in construction as a steamfitter. An avid sports fan, Mr. Vactor played on the Washington Pony Team when they won the 1955 Pony League World Series. Surviving are a son, Ramot (Cynthia) Grinage; three daughters, Traci, Tamra, and Bridgit Vactor; two brothers, Ted (Stacy) Vactor and Frank Vactor; a sister, Noel (Dennis) Wilkerson; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Norris Vactor. There will be no public viewing. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2022, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, followed by a memorial service at 12:30 p.m.
