Gregory Curtis Wise, 55, of Washington, died May 8, 2022, in his home after a short illness surrounded by family and friends. He was born December 23, 1966, in Washington, the son of Carol Manning, and the late Mark E. Wise. A 1984 graduate of Trinity High School, Gregory was a Custodian at Friendship Village for nearly 17 years. He was a history buff, a master of trivia, and an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed the Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins. He loved spending time with friends and family whenever possible. Mr. Wise attended the Church of Christ. Gregory is survived by sons, Justin Wise, of Bridgeville, and Brandon Wise, of Canonsburg; daughters Taylor (Dave) Daugherty, of Finleyville, and Emily Wise, of Canonsburg, sisters, Jamie (Gary) Terling, of Washington, and Misty (David) Niemczyk, of New Brighton; stepfather, James Manning; best friend, Tammi Miller; good friend and former wife, Susan Wise; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding Gregory in death, was a granddaughter, Rylee Daugherty. Friends and family will be received Thursday, May 12, 2022, 2 until 4 pm, and 6 until 8 pm, where a service will be held on Friday, May 13, at 10 am in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with David Deagel officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
