Gregg Arthur Hathaway, 52, of Cecil Township, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024. He was born January 19, 1972, in Washington, a son of Arthur Hathaway and Carol McDonough Hathaway of Washington. Mr. Hathaway was a graduate of McGuffey High School and attended West Virginia University. He was employed as an electrician in the industrial construction field and was a member of IBEW Local #5. Mr. Hathaway loved his service dogs, Chase and Segar. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling in his Bronco, reading, watching air shows, and going to concerts, tractor pulls, and car shows. He was a huge Steelers fan. Most of all, he loved gathering with family and friends. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his daughter, Hannah Hathaway; his brother, Jason (Lauren) Hathaway; his wife, Melissa Swerkle Hathaway; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are his maternal grandmother, Lena McDonough; his maternal grandfather, Frank McDonough; his paternal grandmother, Berne Hathaway; and his paternal grandfather, Art Hathaway Sr. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
