Gloria F. Borkowski, 96, of Washington, died Thursday, January 2, 2020, with her family by her side. She was born April 3, 1923 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late Walter Schultz and Norma Morton Schultz. Gloria retired from W. T. Grant Company, where she was head of merchandising for women’s fashions. During World War II, Gloria worked as a riveter, traveling to different factories. She loved the Steelers and Pirates. Gloria loved spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. On November 19, 1949, she married William Borkowski, who died February 18, 1999. Surviving are two daughters, Denise L. (Rick) Cox and Sherry L. Yancosek, both of Washington; six grandchildren, William “BJ” (Jennifer) Rush, Kristofer (Julia Mackey) Rush, Matthew Yancosek, Karly Yancosek, Rebecca Cox and Nathan Cox; nine great grandchildren, Joel Rush, Gloria Rush, Jay Rush, Jon Rush, Grant Rush, Elle Rush, Wyatt Rush, Piper Rush, Hannah Rush. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, January 6th.
