Gladys Romaine Morris

Gladys Romaine Crowe Morris, 86, of Washington, formerly of Claysville, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. She was born November 9, 1934. She was the daughter of the late James Henry and Georgia Emma Fields Crowe. Gladys was a 1954 graduate of Claysville High School and she attended The First Christian Church in West Alexander. Gladys enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Bingo and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. She would light up when they entered the room. Gladys is survived by four children; Dolores (Larry) Dorsey of Claysville, Cliff Crowe of Washington, Debbie (Scott) Bres of McDonald, and Matthew Morris of Washington; grandchildren, Jared (Ashleigh) Dorsey of Washington, Tera (Sam) Washabaugh of Canonsburg, Makayla Bres and Travis Bres of McDonald; great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Connor Washabaugh and Skylar Dorsey, and her beloved niece Jackie Jones who always kept her laughing. Gladys is also survived by siblings, Ruth (Jerry) Shiver, Bob (Vickie) Crowe, Allan (Robin) Crowe, Richard (Flor) Crowe, Tom (Jackie) Crowe, Ruby Marquez, Millie Corbly, sister-in-law Janelle Crowe, brother-in-law Bob Nelson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gladys is preceded in death by siblings, Chuck Crowe, Melvin Crowe, Wilma Plants, Alice (Tom) Wood, Virginia (Bob) White, Esther Nelson, and Martha (Bob) Rizor and brothers- in-law, Frank Marquez, and Bill Corbly Friends will be received Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, in honor of Gladys’ daughters.
