Geraldine E. Roble

Geraldine “Jerrie” E. McCurdy Roble, 78, of Washington, died April 1, 2023, in South Hills Wellness Center. She had been living with her daughter Charlotte for the past 2 years and under Hospice care for the past year. She was born December 16, 1944, in Hempstead, NY, the daughter of Kenneth Alva and Margaret Rose Wilbert McCurdy. A graduate of Hampton High School, and Montefiore School of Nursing, and worked at their hospital where she met her husband, Robert Roble and were married for 44 years. They were married on October 7, 1967, and he died April 26, 2012. Jerrie retired from Townview Health, and worked at South Hills Convalescent Center as a Director of Nursing. She was also a visiting nurse for Professional Home Health and Home Care, and several others throughout the years, as a Registered Nurse. Jerrie was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, and Martha Washington Quilters Guild. She was an avid reader, loved to sew, and enjoyed camping with her husband in Smethport, PA. She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte R. Carpenter (Edward), of Scenery Hill, Emily S. Harper (Dave Bowser) of Washington; a brother, James McCurdy (Kathy), of Cambridge, OH; grandchildren, Dustin and Cassandra Carpenter, and several nieces and nephews.
