George Ross Lemley, Jr.

George Ross Lemley, Jr., 62, of Scenery Hill, died December 28, 2022, in his home. He was born February 15, 1960, in Washington, the son of Mary Lemley and the late George Ross Lemley, Sr. A graduate of Trinity High School, George drove truck for Select Service. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs. George enjoyed doing things outdoors, like gardening and riding quads. On May 1, 1982, George married Brenda Cross, who died March 29, 2017. Surviving is his daughter, Heather (Troy) Gehring; his son, Justin (Paige) Lemley, Sr; a brother, Roger (Amy) Lemley; sisters, Joanne (Chuck) Morris, Kathy (Jim) Leasure, Dorie (Dave) Belski, and Sharon (Terry) Babish; grandchildren, Hayden Dawson, Kendra Lemley, Adriana Lemley, Justin Lemley, Jr., and Jaxon Lemley; many nieces and nephews; and several cousins. George was preceded in death by his sister, Susan (Vincent) Kletch. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A service will be held on Wednesday, January 4th at 10 am with Rev. Robert Grewe officiating. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
