George T. Bable

George T. Bable, 94, of Bulger, died May 28, 2023, in his home. He was born August 7, 1928, in Midway, the son of the late James Lawrence and Helen Hartman Bable. A graduate of Midway High School, George retired from the Defense Logistics Agency. He was a member of Washington Wesleyan Methodist Church. George enjoyed word search books, gardening, landscaping, and yard work. He was a Sunday school teacher and worship leader at Gospel Way Church, in Canonsburg. On May 8, 1954, George married Ruby Jean Burton, who died April 6, 2023. He is survived by a son, George T. Bable, Jr. (Vie); daughters, Sherri Lynn West (Thomas), Lori Bable, and Linda Bable; a brother, Eddie Bable; a sister, Dolores Bable; grandchildren, Tommy, Josh, Cristiana, Jordan, Teddy, Heidi, Brandon, Brooke, Derick, and Nicole; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Yerkey, and Betty Elliehauser. Family and friends will be received Monday, June 5, 2023, 2-6 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, the place of service, Tuesday, June 6th, at 11am, Pastor Randy Brown officiating. Military honors will be accorded by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion, Post 175, and the United States Army. Interment to follow in Washington Cemetery.
