Gary Lee Mckinney Sr.

Gary Lee McKinney, Sr., 65, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Washington Hospital. He was born March 28, 1959, in Washington, a son of the late Kenneth and Violet Kopko McKinney. On October 18, 2023, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sheila “Diane” McKinney, after thirty years together. Gary attended Trinity High School. He worked for many years at Mel’s Towing and Recovery in Washington. Gary loved music and playing the guitar, watching his granddaughters play softball, working alongside Pee Wee in the repo business, and he loved his dogs, Blossom and Tulip. He is survived by his children Melvin L. “Pee Wee” Ralston, Jr., Patty Hazen (Jared), Pam McKinney, Gary McKinney, Jr. (April), and Raymond “Putsy” McKinney (Megan); brothers Jeff McKinney (Lori) and Randy McKinney (Paula); and sisters Mary Graham and Debbie Harshey (Larry); grandchildren Blair Johnson, Noah Hazen, Maddie Hazen, Adley McKinney, Cade McKinney and Kamryn McKinney; niece Melissa Franell; great-nieces and nephews Nycere, Anthony, Honesty, and Heaven Lee; and numerous additional nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Gary is predeceased by his granddaughter, Rylie Hazen and siblings Kenny McKinney, Dennis McKinney, Donna McKinney Work, and Larry Kopko. All services are private and have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Avenue.
