Gary Louis Bails

Gary Louis Bails, 71, of Avella, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, in Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He was born August 30, 1952, in Washington, a son of the late Merle Bails and Ilean Bails. Gary was a 1972 graduate of Trinity High School. He was employed by Millcraft Mining Service as a machinist for 35 years. Gary liked hunting of all kinds, including rattlesnakes. He enjoyed riding his quad, camping and going to the casino. Surviving are four sons, Gary Bails, Jesse (Rebecca) Bails, Josey Bails and Jason Bails; two daughters, Marie (Donnie) Bails and Kathy (Scott) Whitmer; two brothers, Wayne Bails and Mark Bails; a sister, Renee Jenkins; 14 grandchildren, Gary III, Austin, Fantasia, Madison, Mia, Lucy, Hannah, Steven, Angie, Nina, Joleen, Corrina, Laura and DJ; three great-grandchildren, Kashton, Aleah and Carly; two nephews, Clint and Carl; and his best friend, Rodney Curry. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, William Schweinebraten, and a brother, AJ Bails. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time service, Friday, July 26, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
