Fred Gene Thompson Sr.

Fred Gene Thompson Sr, 88 of Washington passed away peacefully on November 12, 2017 in his home. He was born in Washington on February 27, 1929 a son of the late Elmer Thompson and Alma Patton Thompson. Fred owned and operated Fred Thompson Auto Repair. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and loved his dog Bubba On November 16, 1947 he married Helen L. Blacka who passed away on March 6, 2016. He is survived by two sons Fred Gene (Anne) Thompson Jr. of Fresno, CA and James (fiancé Johnna Anthony) Thompson of Washington; daughter Joyce D. (the late Richard) Hennick of Washington; grandchildren Richard Hennick, Bryan (Lisa) Hennick, Laurie (Brandon) Blackhurst, Erin(Brandon) Kennedy, Shawn (Tracey) Thompson, Todd (Rebekah) Thompson; twelve great-grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, Elmer, William and Paul Thompson; sister, Joy Wise. Friends will be received November 15, 2017 from 4 to 8:00 p.m. in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held November 16, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Garden.
