Frank William Scott, 87, of Washington, died Sunday, June 19, 2022, in The Washington Hospital. He was born September 5, 1934, in Washington, a son of the late Frank Randolph Scott and Doris Mossburg Scott. A graduate of Washington High School, Mr. Scott was an Army veteran, serving on active duty from September 4, 1957, until his honorable discharge on August 18, 1959, with a rank of Specialist, 4th class. Mr. Scott worked as the program coordinator at The Brownson House for 27 years, where he enjoyed working with kids of all ages. He was passionate about all of the athletic programs at Washington High School, and loved going to New York City and attending Broadway productions. Surviving are a sister, Linda Smith of Canonsburg; several nieces and nephews; and his caregivers, Jon Celani and Carol Oberst. Deceased are a brother, Thomas Scott; sisters, Gayle Tutay and Barbara Maggi; and his life-long best friend, Lock Hartley. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 23rd, with Rev. James B. Inghram officiating.
