Frank Julian, Sr.

Frank Julian, Sr., 82, of Claysville, died on Friday, August 3, 2018, in the Washington Hospital. He was born on July 18, 1936, in Washington, a son of the late Anthony and Theresa Arena Julian. He was a graduate of Washington High School. Mr. Julian served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, as a flight director on the USS Champlain. He was a lifelong member of Christian Church of North America in Washington. Mr. Julian was the owner of Frank’s Auto Repair for over sixty years. During his time in the Navy, Frank traveled all over the world, and also went on many big game hunts during his lifetime. He loved spending time with family, working on cars, hunting and fishing with his friends, and “being ornery.” A well known and respected leader in the community, he was known for his kindness, Knowledge and generosity. On September 14, 1975, he married Shirley Bowman, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Kathy (Dave) Flory, of Cocoa, FL, Frank (Janet) Julian, of Claysville, Vickie (Mark) Teagarden, of Rice’s Landing and Bobbie (Rich) Durbin, of Claysville; seven grandchildren, Beth Flory. Ryan Jeffries, Sammi (Josh) Carlisle, Stevie (Chance) Beatty, Marissa Durbin, Nick Teagarden and Erich Durbin; six great grandchildren; and two nephews. Deceased is a sister, Jackie Watson. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held at 11;00 a.m., on Friday, August 10, 2018, with Pastor Rob Berk and Pastor Frank Menhart, Jr. co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
