Frank A. Johnson Sr., 72 of Washington, died January 1, 2019 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born June 29, 1946 in Washington, the son of the late Ernest and Martha Klages Johnson. Frank was a graduate of Trinity High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during Vietnam. He was a truck driver for W. E. Graham for 17years, hauling mail, and a member of Teamster Local #205 in Pittsburgh for many years. He was also a member of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175. Frank enjoyed bowling, yearly cruises and vacations, playing cards.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He volunteered and donated to the Washington City Mission. Frank attended the First Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Anita Bogochenko; his children, Laura Lee (Steven) Chestnut of Pensacola, FL, Timothy David Johnson of Wheeling, WV, Pam (Rob) Natoli of Washington, Tracy (Rod) Mowl of Mariana, Mary Louise (Jerry Dykins) Bogochenko of Eighty-Four; a sister Linda L. Dire of Washington; five grandchildren, Timothy Ryan (Amy Barnhart) Johnson, Jordan Nicole (Kevin Niebergall) Johnson, Kohl Reed Johnson, Lauren Bryann (Joey Ayers) Bowman, Jacob Tyler Mowl ; a great grandchild, Bailey Nicole Niebergall; and a niece, Heather (Jay) Umphrey and nephews, Jesse Noble and Dakota Umphrey. Deceased in addition to his parents is his son, Frank Johnson Jr. Friends will be received ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Friday, January 4, 2019 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Marty Bausman officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Patriot’s House, Washington City Mission, 84 W. Wheeling St., Washington, PA 15301.
