Frank Carl Wudkwych, of Hickory, died Sunday, May 19, 2024. He was born August 19, 1943, in Washington, a son of the late Frank and Anna Pochiba Wudkwych. Frank was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. After graduation, he worked briefly at McGraw-Edison in Canonsburg. He then went into business with the late Robert Moody, forming M & W Construction. Later, he started his own company, Frank’s Excavating. Upon retirement, he farmed full time. He was a member of Westland Sportsmen Club and St. James Parish (St. Hilary Church). Frank loved hunting with his sons and grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and extracurricular activities. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brezinski Wudkwych; sons Jeffrey (Pam) and Frank, Jr. (Michele); grandchildren Jessica and Jenna LaVecchia, Brittanie (Corey Franz) and Brian (Chasady) Wudkwych, and Owen, Dylan and AJ Wudkwych; and great-granddaughter Norah June Wudkwych. Also surviving are siblings John (Anna Marie) Wudkwych, Carol (late John) Serbak, and Beverly (William) Mellars, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visitation. Service and burial will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
