Frank E. Blystone, 81, of South Strabane, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, in Washington Hospital. He was born February 1, 1943, in Millsboro, a son of the late Kenneth Blystone and Katherine Marie Bukowski Blystone. Frank was a graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School. He was a proud Army veteran. He was stationed in Panama and was honorably discharged. Frank retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Unemployment Compensation, where he was employed in the Referee’s Office. He previously worked at Mancuso Printing in Washington. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waynesburg and the Keystone Club. Frank was an avid Steelers fan. He had the distinction of bowling a perfect game and shooting a hole in one. On September 8, 1979, he married his wife Linda Mae Post Blystone, who passed away August 17, 2016. Surviving is a son, Eric-Todd Blystone. Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are brothers Kenneth, Ronald and Richard Blystone. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, May 4, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Home, Ltd., 935 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor David Decker officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 175. The family requests everyone to wear Steelers gear in honor of Frank. Private interment will be held in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Humane Society.
