Frances Roberta Venen

Frances Roberta Venen, 78, of Washington, died Sunday, December 26, 2021, in UPMC-Mercy, due to injuries received in a fire. She was born March 26, 1943, in Charleroi, a daughter of the late John James Wall and Lola Couchenour Wall. Mrs. Venen graduated from Monongahela High School and worked as an assembler for the Washington County Blind Association. A member of the First Church of the Nazarene, she enjoyed going to church and attending the camp for the blind in Mt. Union. She also enjoyed sending all kinds of cards to friends and family and watching “Little House on the Prairie.” On June 21, 1969, she married Bert Venen, who died June 8, 1986. Surviving are a sister, Wanda Williams of Washington, and a sister-in-law, Sherryl Wall. Deceased are brothers, Bill Todd, Ronald Wall, and Roger Wall. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, January 3rd, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will be private in Greene County Memorial Park.
