Frances "Fran" Louise Havlin

December 21, 1929 — October 23, 2023

Frances L. “Fran” Havlin, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 23, 2023, in Evergreen Assisted Living, where she currently resided. Born on December 21, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Lillian Ruth Hicks Ashmore of Taylorstown. Fran was an only child. Fran attended Trinity High School where she was a majorette, along with her first cousin, Marjorie Ashmore Cunningham. She graduated from Triadelphia High School in West Virginia. Fran was married to Clarence Havlin on June 29, 1971, and moved to Whitehall, ILL. Upon Clarence passing in 1989, she moved back home to Claysville, and more recently resided in Town and Country Mobile Home Park in Washington. Fran worked as a personal care attendant for Washington County Aging Health Services for many years. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Fran enjoyed baking, word search puzzles, and taking care of her special dog “Precious.” She especially enjoyed her Thursdays spending time with her cousin, Larry Ashmore, who attended to her needs for many years. She looked forward to lunch with Larry at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Fran was Protestant. She never missed a day reading her daily devotions, and always prayed for a multitude of people who were in need. Surviving are her cousins and caregivers, Larry and Carolyn Ashmore, and other cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Havlin, and her daughter, Chrystie Haloszka. Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
