Florence I Ramsey

Florence I. “Toodie” Ramsey, 88, of Strabane Trails, formerly of Lady Lake, FL, has left us on Saturday November 18, 2017 to be with the Lord and her husband of sixty-nine years, Chis. Toodie was born on December 31, 1928 in Derry Pennsylvania to the late James and Mildred Gray. She attended Derry High School and graduated in May 1946. Toodie married Charles “Chis” Ramsey on March 22, 1947. Toodie was a stay at home mom and raised four sons. She later worked as a Phlebotomist at Latrobe Hospital. They lived in Derry, PA until 1987 when they retired to the Villages, Fla. where they resided until Chis passed on November 2, 2016. Toodie returned to PA and resided at Strabane Trails senior apartments. She is survived by four sons, Ronald Ramsey (Karen), Donald Ramsey(Gerrie), Robert Ramsey (Melinda), Timothy Ramsey (Beth); 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother Jim, step-sister Eleanor and her parents. Services will be private with interment to follow at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
