Evelyn D. Wickline

Evelyn D. Wickline, 88, of Washington, died April 30, 2018, in Donnell House. She was born November 23, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of the late Albert DiFebo and Laura DiNardo DiFebo. A homemaker who was proud of her Italian heritage, Mrs. Wickline was a nanny for several children, and opened her home and heart to everyone. She enjoyed traveling, was a member of the Red Hat Society, and was involved with Bassett rescues, specifically the Droopy Bassett Rescue of Western Pennsylvania. Very active in her Catholic faith, Mrs. Wickline was a member of St. Hilary Church, and its Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters groups. On October 6, 1949, she married John K. Wickline, who died April 10, 1997. Surviving are three daughters, Linda C. (the late Donald) Chaney, Laura A. Wickline, and Sandy L. (Henry) Likar, all of Washington; 5 grandchildren, Nicole Paydo (Paul) Richardson, Stacy Paydo (Rebecca Ballance) Laurie, Leslie (Matthew) Marsula, Amanda (Andrew) Sickles, and Mitchell Bedillion; 7 great-grandchildren, Caroline Evelyn Richardson, Ella Grace Richardson, Luke E. Arnold, Emma Marsula, Benjamin Marsula, Sophia Sickles and Stella Sickles; and a special friend, Lynn Bedillion. Deceased is her brother, Valentine DiFebo. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, May 4th, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, Washington.  Burial will be private in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hound Haven of Lone Pine, 592 Lone Pine Road, Washington, PA 15301.
