Eva Bell Buchanan

Eva Bell Buchanan, 85, of Claysville, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the Donnell House. She was born on February 26, 1935 in Washington, the daughter of the late Addison Bell Longstreath and Hazel Danley. Eva graduated from West Alexander High School in 1952. She worked as a receptionist for Sears. Eva married John Force Buchanan Jr. in 1954 who died on December 27, 2003. Surviving are her five sons, John Stephen Buchanan (Joyce) of Prosperity, James Addison Buchanan of Florida, Robert Samuel Buchanan (April) of Claysville, Joseph Patrick Buchanan (Cathy) of Taylorstown, and Ricklan Lee Buchanan of Pittsburgh; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death, along with her parents and husband, are a sister Nancy Lee Scherich; father-in-law John and mother-in-law Opal Buchanan. Eva enjoyed gardening and spending time on the farm.
