Eugene Mcnamara

Eugene McNamara, 93, of Washington, died July 5, 2021, at Washington Hospital. He was born October 26, 1927, in Washington, the son of the late Genevieve Barrett. “Mac,” as many people knew him, was an Electrician for over 30 years with McGraw-Edison, Canonsburg. He proudly served his country in the Army. In September of 1949, Eugene married Dorothy Hart, who died in January of 1984. Also preceding him in death was long-time companion Elsie Ackley. Surviving to cherish his memory, are son, Dan McNamara, of Wheeling, WV; daughter, Barbara Haught, of Washington; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Eugene “Mac,” “Pap” McNamara was loved by all who knew him. Friends and family will be received on Friday, July 9, 2021, 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment is private and will be held at the family’s convenience.
