Esther Eva Chase, 74, of Washington, died on April 2, 2021, in the Washington Hospital. She was born on May 24, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of the late Newt Loar and Dorothy (John) Shrader Cox. Esther was raised by her mother and stepfather. Mrs. Chase enjoyed watching television, especially wrestling, talking with friends on the phone, doing crafts, and thrift shopping. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats. On August 19, 1972, she married Gary Chase, Sr. who survives. Also surviving are three sons, James (Carol) Coffield, of Houston, Gary Chase, Jr., of New Eagle, and Steve Chase, of Washington; two daughters, Donna (Patrick Harris) Rudy, of Washington, and Kimberly (Dustin Ackley) Sygenda, of Washington; a brother, Bill Cox, of Washington; two sisters, Shirley Franco, of Aleppo, and Sandy (Sherman Brown) Cox, of Washington; six grandchildren, Christina, Aidan, Schea, Deegan, Nicholas, and Madison; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Dilly, and Shayne; as well as many nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Eugene Moore, and John Cox; two sisters, Margaret Symanski, and Edith Gallagher; and a grandson, Michael Rudy. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 8, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., the time of service, in the William G. Neal Funeral Home, 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA.
