Ernest Ralph Donaldson

Ernest Ralph Donaldson Jr, 73 went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2019 after a long battle with Diabetes. He was born on January 24, 1945 in Washington, a son of the late Ruth and Ernest R. Donaldson, Sr. He retired from the Observer Reporter Publishing Company after 36 years. He loved bowling, golfing and going to the Casino. On September 16, 1978 he married Susanne Knapp who survives.  They also have their beloved dog Bailey. Surviving, in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Kathy (Tony) Donaldson and Chris (Chuck) Crews, his sister Barbara Jenkins, 8 grandchildren, Bryan Bell, Brandon (Bethany) Bell, Kayla (Adam) Fischer, Christopher (Bridget) Crews, Shawn (Amanda) Crews, Nicholas (Tracy) Gauck, William (Gayle) Gauck, Amber (Christopher) Zatezalo, and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday, January 14, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Washington Cemetery Garden Mausoleum.
