Ellen Frances Anderson

Ellen Frances Walker Anderson, 87, of Washington, died June 9, 2021, at North Strabane Retirement Village. She was born August 23, 1933, in Gabby Heights, the daughter of the late Eugene Walker, and Dorothy Walker Wade. Frances was a 1952 graduate of Washington High School. She retired from W & J College in 1997, working in the library as a clerk and on the switchboard. She attended Friendship Community Church. Frances enjoyed being with her family, playing board games with siblings, camping, and watching the Steelers win. On May 22, 1953, she married John L. (Jack) Anderson, who died April 19, 1977. She is survived by sons, John A. (Cathy) Anderson, of Washington, and Gary L. (Donna) Anderson, of Eighty-Four; daughter, Susan R. (Jim) Ralston, of Virginia Beach, VA; 5 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, John M. Pevarnik and a brother Charles E. Walker. The family sends a huge thank you and appreciation to the individuals of Heartland Hospice. Their skills and understanding were so appreciated in this moment.
