Edward Washington, Jr.

Edward “June Bug” Washington Jr., 63, of Washington, died August 17, 2022, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born August 22, 1958, in Washington, a son of the late Eddie and Shirley Mae Alexander Washington. Edward attended Washington High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at HCR Manorcare, McMurray. He loved to take care of people. He loved music and dancing, family parties and get-togethers. He was happy to help others and was known to be a “Mr. Fix-it” when need be. Edward is survived by a large family, including siblings, Robert Washington, Terry Lipscomb (Lawrence W. Lipscomb III), Tracy Washington (Dee Bedillion), Wilhelmina Woods, Michelle Humphreys, and Virginia “Sissy Mae” Rippy; nieces and nephews, Terry Era Marie Washington, Brianna Nicole Washington, DaVonte` James Frazier, Robert Washington Jr., Matthew Washington, Alexis Manuel, Kainan Humphreys, Layla Humphreys, Carmen Tyler, Chasity Johnson, Summerlyn Marie Manuel, Maclynn Washington , Kaydence Washington, Lorenzo Washington ; great nieces, Milan Brilyn Mabon, Alaysia Joi Parrotte, Jaclyn Semaj, Alani Parrotte, Autumn Maelynn Franklin, Aubriana Marie Franklin, Christian Crawford, Colton Crawford, Cloee Crawford, Gavin Washington, Malalci Washington, Kelis Laprade and Khalil Laprade; and a host of other nieces and nephews; and loved by many additional friends and family. Preceding him in death were a brother, Michael Washington; a nephew, Brandon Washington; and a niece, Courtney Marie Washington. Edward was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Family and friends will gather Tuesday, August 23, 2022, 11 am until 1 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a service will follow at 1 pm.
