Edward A. “Butch” Piatt, 74, of Washington, died March 2, 2023, in his home. He was born April 27, 1948, in Canonsburg, the son of the late Gerald and Mildred Holloway Piatt. A graduate of Chartiers Houston High School, he was a retired heavy equipment operator. Edward loved John Deere tractors, old classic cars, and working in his garage. He especially loved spending time with friends and his cat Trip. Edward proudly served his country in the Army and was stationed in Korea. He is survived by his girlfriend, Mary McCullough, of Washington; a daughter, Sherri Dee Wright, of Washington; sons, Matt (Erin) Piatt, of Washington, and Eddie (Morgan) Piatt, of Cleveland, OH; a brother, Gerald (Patti) Piatt, Jr., of Avella; many grandchildren; former wife and lifelong friend, Darlene Headley, of Taylorstown; a special sister-in-law, Stephanie Piatt; and several nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his siblings, Sandy Piatt, Donna Williams, and Dennis Piatt. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or services.
