Edna "Ruth" Sickles

Edna “Ruth” Sickles, 93, of Washington, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, in her home. She was born March 5, 1931, in Good Intent, a son of the late Moffard Sickles and Margaret Hayes Sickles. Ruth had attended Prosperity schools. She worked for Brockway Glass for 37 years, until its closing, and Ramada Inn for 19 years. Ruth was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Washington. She enjoyed shopping and watching Fox news. She was very organized and detailed oriented. Surviving are two grandchildren, Alisha Sickles and Michelle Sickles, and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Charles Craig Sickles; sisters Helen Sickles Martin, Jo Ann Sickles Jones, Gerri Sickles Garrett, Peg Sickles Wigner, Sandra Sickles Renforth and Betty Sickles; and brothers Ralph Sickles, Robert Sickles, Donald Sickles and Walter Sickles. Family and friends are invited to attend a chapel service at 11:45 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024, in Washington Cemetery. Everyone attending is kindly asked to meet at 11:15 a.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, for a procession to the cemetery.
