Earl Leroy Pirt, Sr.

Earl Leroy Pirt Sr., 75 of Washington, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at his home following a 3-year illness. He was born January 11, 1942 in Vestaburg, the son of the late Walker Pirt and Catherine E. Gump Pirt. Earl was a heavy equipment operator for Local #66 for many years. He was formerly a member of Calvary Temple. Earl loved football, country music, socializing and various types of TV shows related to cars. Surviving are a son, Earl (Margaret Clutter) Pirt Jr.; two daughters, Tambra (Jeff) Huseman of Fairbank, PA and Sherri (Robert) Cavanaugh of Amity; eight grandchildren, Earl and Heather Saffel, Amber and Autumn Rizor, Amana Reid, Joshua and Kodi Foley and Rogan Cavanaugh; nine great grandchildren; a niece, Dawn McElhaney; three great nephews. Deceased are a great granddaughter, Kloe Saffel; a sister, Kathleen Kaminski; a niece, Kimberly Crow. Friends will be received Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
