Douglas Edward Miles

Douglas Edward Miles, 63, of Washington, died February 21, 2022, in Donnell House. He was born February 9, 1959, in Washington, a son of the late Palmer Miles and Rose Gisoni Miles. Mr. Miles was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School. He had successful careers in various business endeavors, including being the owner/operator of Demro Roofing and The Dog House Diner. In addition, Mr. Miles worked for Interstate Contractor Supply and in sales at Star Building Supply. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he devoted to planning his next business venture. In addition, he enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with friends and family, and adored his dogs. Throughout his life, Doug served as an inspiration for many people. Surviving are his wife, Karen Arlotta Miles, whom he married August 14, 2017; a son, Devan Miles; a sister, Sheila Miles; nieces, Jennifer and Amanda; great-niece, Ashlyn; stepsons, Philip Hairston and Julian Clements; and step-grandchildren, Jamison and Jewel. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 25th.
