Dorothy Georgetta Wootton

Dorothy Georgetta Wootton, 93, of Bethel Park, died on August 8, 2022, in ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Peters Township. She was born on October 27, 1928, in Washington, a daughter of the late James and Florence Mounts Verner. A member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church, Dorothy was the restaurant manager for Danny's and Len's, and had also worked at G.C. Murphy. She enjoyed sewing, reading and quilting. Dorothy married Donald Robert Wootton, who is deceased. Surviving are a son, Donald (Angel) Wootton; two daughters, Lori (Rudy) Retort and Melody Burns; a brother, David (Cheryl) Verner; two sisters, Elizabeth (John) Baldwin and Nancy (William) Stollar; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind friends, Donna and Candy, and her niece Donna, all of whom she was especially close to. At the request of the deceased, all services will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.
