Dorothy M. “Aunt Dot” Watson passed away peacefully on January 18, 2021, at the Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, at the age of 95. Dorothy was born on August 7, 1925 in Washington, the daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth Grayson Fleet. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Watson General Hauling Services, and a devoted Christian member of Temple of God Apostolic Faith Church of Washington. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Bennie Watson, Sr., and son Tyrone L. Watson; sisters Mary Wheeler and Sarah Harvey; and brothers Fred and Charles Fleet. Surviving is a son, Bennie Watson Jr. of Washington; a sister Edith Naylor of Washington; and a granddaughter Phoenix Watson of Canonsburg. The surviving family sincerely thanks her nieces Beverly Chandler Aku, Frances Gardner, Sandra Walker, the late Louise Lipscomb, and family friend Vera L. Pleasant of Columbus, OH, for their continued love and care for many years. The Watson family extends a special thanks to Rev. Richard White, former pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, for his missionary and visitation. Rev. White always kept Dorothy, "Aunt Dot" in his thoughts and prayers, prior to and during her stay at the Presbyterian Medical Center. Special gratitude to the staff of Presbyterian Senior Care, especially Paula Grimes and Jackie Brock for outstanding care and kindness during her stay at the facility.
