Surviving from this marriage are Sharon (Daniel) Miles of McClellandtown, PA and Richard H. Sim (Tamera deceased, remarried Phyllis) of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. On August 10, 1980, she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she was a dedicated member.  At the Washington ward where she attended, she served as compassionate service leader for 10 years as well as other positions in the church.  She belonged to a family home evening group, “The Empty Nesters.” Jean had been employed at Washington Hospital as an EKG technician.  Her interests were cooking, baking, sewing and oil painting.  In 2001, she met Thomas E. Whoolery, and they were married on July 14, 2001.  Thomas passed away on September 30, 2018. Two brothers, James F. Gray and William J. Gray, and an infant son, Larry Dean, preceded her in death. Her legacy will remain in her three grandchildren, Jennifer Miles-Mudery, Matthew (Heather) Miles of Okinawa, Japan, and Mark Richard (Jennifer) Sim of Utah; four great-grandchildren, Travis and Ethan Mudery, Hayden Miles and Anthony Sim. Many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. A beloved niece, Carol Ann Broderick was her faithful companion, caregiver and special friend for many years. Jean loved her family and was active in their lives.  She will be greatly missed by all. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 till 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.   A funeral service will be held at Noon, Wednesday, December 5th, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 525 Fairway Drive, Washington, PA with Bishop Corey Long officiating.  Burial in Washington Cemetery will be private. Those attending the service should meet at the church.  A luncheon will follow the service.
