Dorothy Lee “Tootie” Meeks, 88, of Washington, died on November 11, 2023, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born on April 17, 1935, in Chartiers Township, a daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy Bloser Plunkett. Dorothy was Methodist by faith, and had worked as an accounting clerk. Tootie was happy when she found a good yard sale or when she was antiquing. She enjoyed baking, gardening and watching Pittsburgh sports. Her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family. On July 17, 1954, she married the love of her life, Paul Richard Meeks, who died on July 19, 2014. Surviving are three daughters, Rhonda (Robert) Clark, Debra (Robert) Wilson and Sandra (Samuel) McClenathan; four brothers, Charles Plunkett, William Plunkett, Wallace Plunkett and James Plunkett; five sisters, Mary Donaldson, Jean Woznichak, Marge Calvert, Patricia Dillie and Mildred Koceski; six grandchildren, Robert (Jessica) Clark, Jr., Jamie (Andy) Burrows, Zachary (Linsi) Gault, Cassie (Travis) Ware, Megan (Brian) Hoy and Emily (Zach) Rugg; and fourteen great grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Paul Plunkett, Jr., and Thomas Plunkett; and a grandson, Joshua Presto. Friends and family are welcome on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, with Robert Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
