Dorothy Jean Mcclelland

Dorothy Jean McClelland 85, of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly in Allegheny General Hospital on March 3, 2018. She was born October 23, 1932 in Washington a daughter of John Pugh and Gertrude Mitchell Pugh. Dorothy attended Washington School District. She was a homemaker, and along with her husband co-founded the Gospel Way church in Canonsburg. She enjoyed TV, shopping and eating out. Her biggest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother. On January 11, 1950 she married Reverend Harold “Jiggs” McClelland who survives. Also surviving a son Harold Joseph McClelland Jr. of McDonald; daughters Lisa Ann (James) Hixenbaugh of Avella, Deborah Bird of Strabane, Carla Sue(Frank) Sanpietro of Canonsburg; sister Anna Mae Grummick of Dover, OH; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Deceased are a brother John Pugh Jr. and sisters Betty Jane Ek and Gertrude Pratt. Friends will be received Wednesday March 7 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in The William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd. 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, Pa 15301, where services will be held Thursday March 8 at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Hamer officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Gardens.
