Doris Eileen "Debbie" Knestrick

Doris Eileen “Debbie” Bard Knestrick, 96, of Washington, died October 30, 2022, in her daughter’s home, in Jeffersonton, Virginia. She spent her last days on earth surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was born April 8, 1926, in Washington, the daughter of the late John S. and Della C. Seybert Bard. A 1945 graduate of Trinity High School, Debbie worked as an assembler for RCA Meadowlands, Polycom. She was a member of the Martha Washington Garden Club for over 30 years, the Sweet Adalines, and the local Toastmasters Club. Debbie loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of the Covenant, Washington. On September 30, 1989, Debbie married Arthur “A” Max Knestrick, who died July 27, 2014. Surviving are two sons, George P. Sisul (Vicki), and Donald R. Sisul; a daughter, Debra Cordy (Jeff); stepdaughters, Jill Temel (Eugene) and Beth Markiewicz (Daniel); fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren (and counting)! Debbie was preceded in death by her first husband, George D. Sisul, Sr.; daughter, Merrie Jo Sisul; and siblings, Samuel, Charles, Albert, William, Jack, and L. Guy Bard, and Lois Bard Orbin. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, November 9 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 at The Church of the Covenant in Washington, PA. Service at 10:00 Thursday at Church of the Covenant followed by burial at Lower Ten Mile Church Cemetery in Amity.
