Donna Zediker Hillberry

July 23, 1947 — October 2, 2021

Donna Zediker Hillberry, of Washington went home to her Savior on October 2, 2021. She was born July 23, 1947, the daughter of the late Ralph Collin and Edith Gray Zediker. She grew up in Amity and attended Amity School and graduated from Trinity High School in 1965. She attended Robert Morris Junior College and graduated from Penn Commercial College in 1967. She worked at the K-Mart and Fairmont Supply in the accounting department. She owned her own caretaking and cleaning business and assisted Allison at her Medical Massage Clinic -The Restored Soul. Most of all she loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Amity Presbyterian Church as a child and young adult. She later attended Grace Brethren Church and North Ten Mile Baptist Church. At the time of her death, she was a member of Calvary Baptist of Washington. At all the churches she served where the Lord called her to serve. Along with her husband and two other couples, she co-organized the New Hope Youth Ministry Team, bringing the gospel to churches, nursing homes, and other places for 10 years. She also was a Cub Scout leader for The Amity Troop. She also taught for Mothers of Preschoolers, at Calvary for 13 years. On August 17, 1968, she married the love of her life and best friend, Alpheus Berl Hillberry, Jr., whom she was blessed with for 48 wonderful years. They raised two sons, Jeffrey Berl Hillberry (Lisa Rutan Hillberry) and David Collin Hillberry (Allison Kelley Hillberry). She is also survived by five grandsons, Cody Hillbery (Amanda Hooker Hillberry), Jeffrey Hillberry (Paige Presley), Collin Hillberry, Shane Hillberry (Ciera Kinley), and Colton Hillberry; great-grandchildren, Keaton, Virginia, and Lincoln; step-great-grandchildren, Kendall, Jaxon, Frankie Lyn; best friend and sister Janet and Regis Walther, who was like a brother to her; brother-in-law Larry and Linda Hillberry; nephews, Joel (Caitlin) Walther, Mike (Jeannie) Riggle, Stacey (Chris) Rush, Shelley (Perry) Pellen, Tammy (Dan) Dryer; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Her greatest joys were serving her Lord, and spending time with her family and friends playing games and going on trips. Family and friends will be received Friday, October 8, 2021, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA, where a funeral service and committal will be held on Saturday, October 9, at 10:30 am with Pastor Fred McCloskey. Interment will be private.
