Donald William Augenstene

Donald William Augenstene, 70, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at home in Prosperity, Washington County. He was born February 13, 1954, in Pittsburgh, a son of Elinor Jean Lloyd Augenstene and the late Milton George Augenstene. After graduating from Bethel Park High School in 1972, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Donald worked many years as a night auditor in the hotel industry. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith. Donald loved gardening, reading, doing crossword puzzles, arts and crafts, and maintaining the family farm. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are brothers Richard C. (Ladise) Augenstene and Daniel L. Augenstene. He was predeceased by his brother, David Augenstene. Arrangements are private and entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
