Diane Faith Chadwick, 82, of Washington, died on October 24, 2023, in the Donnell House. She was born on November 27, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late James M. Ramey and Madeline A. Miller Frazee. Diane was a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship where she sang in the choir. Diane worked as a banquet server at the Holiday Inn on Racetrack Road for many years. She started her career in waitressing at Dreamland Motel and was one of the original car hops at Eat N Park on West Chestnut Street. She also worked as a secretary for Aladin Food Service Co. and for Brockway Glass. An avid world traveler, her most inspiring adventure was to Israel to see the tomb of Jesus. She had also traveled to Canada and Mexico and numerous places in Europe. Diane enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington Wild Things. She was well known for making her delicious hard tack candy for over 40 years. Most of all, Diane loved watching her sons and grandchildren play sports throughout the years. On October 12, 1957, she married the love of her life, Robert Chadwick, who died on October 7, 2018. Surviving are three sons, Mark (Gloria) Chadwick, Brian (Denise) Chadwick, and Jay (Kimberly) Chadwick; a brother, James (Linda) Ramey; six grandchildren, Samuel Chadwick, Robert Chadwick, Madeline Marvin, Alexis Chadwick, Daniel Chadwick and Alexander Chadwick; two great grandchildren, Galya and Eleora Chadwick; as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Michael Ramey; and two sisters, Margaret Scullin and Lynn Ramey. Friends and family are welcome on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family would like to thank the offices of Dr. Sandhu, Dr. Casile, and the staff at the Donnell House for all of their compassionate care and support. It will not be forgotten.
