Debra Lynn Schurr

Debra Lynn Schurr, 63 of Washington, lost her long battle with cancer on Friday, November 17, 2017. She was born June 22, 1954 in Danville, Kentucky, the daughter of Paul Furr of North Carolina and the late Beth Anne Hoffmyer Furr. Deb moved around the country with her family until they settled in Peters Township when she was young. She graduated in 1972 from Peters Township High School and received an associate degree in merchandizing from Wheeler School. Mrs. Schurr was a certified nurse’s aide at Friendship Village of South Hills for 10 years until her retirement for health reasons. On May 22, 1989, she married George “Jerry” Schurr, who survives. As a couple they did a lot of traveling and enjoyed many camping trips. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. In addition to mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pam. All services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
