Deborah “Debbie” Joy Miller, 73 of Washington, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Washington Hospital. She was born June 22, 1944 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late Andrew James Miller Sr. and Georgia Mae Arthur Miller. Debbie was a 1963 graduate of Trinity High School and attended Allegheny Community College. Before retiring she worked at Mayview State Hospital as a psychiatric aide for over 30 years. She also worked at South Hills Convalescent Home. Debbie enjoyed shopping at Goodwill, bargain hunting and playing the slots at the casino. She also collected sports memorabilia. Surviving are two brothers, Andrew James (Sharon L.) Miller Jr. of Amity and Gary Scott (Ada) Miller of Alvaredo, TX; a sister Pamela Thomas (John) Shrader of Washington; nieces and nephews, Andrew J. Miller III, Ronald Gary “Butch” Miller, Delores “Dee” Miller, Bryan Miller, Thomas Miller Jr. Tim Miller, Mindy Miller, Wendell Dille, Mike Thompson, Jeff Thompson, Chris Thompson, Tony Thompson, Andy Shrader, John Shrader, Mike Shrader; 12 great nieces and nephews that she was close to; a cousin who was like a sister, Linda Arthur Stiles; close friend, Diane Terrell. Deceased are two brothers, Alvin E. “Toby” Miller and Thomas Ray Miller; a sister Maryann Thompson Rauschler; a nephew, Curt Dille. Friends will be received Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
