David E. Selway, 82, of Washington, died April 14, 2022, in St. Mary’s Villa, Elmhurst Township, PA. He was born July 15, 1939, in Seattle, WA, the son of the late Edward and Kathleen Hague Selway. David graduated from Trinity High School in 1957 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Clarion University of PA. He retired from Signode Corp. in 1994, where he was an industrial Salesman. Mr. Selway served his country in the Air Force Reserves. He was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church. David enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and watching sports. He was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. He was very active and involved with his grandchildren’s activities. He loved his family very much. On August 14, 1961, David married Janis M. Shaffer. They were married for over 57 years when she died on January 10, 2019. Surviving is his daughter, Darlene D’Oro (Lou), of Moscow, PA; brother, Edward Selway, of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Nicholas Cataldo (Ali), Kelsey Ross (Brett), Alyssa Murphy (Kyle), Michael Falcone, Evan D’Oro, Nathan Cataldo, Eric D’Oro, Christopher D’Oro, and Mia D’Oro; great-grandchildren, Cameron & Easton Cataldo, Sawyer Cataldo, Bennett, Jackson & Carter Ross, and Levi Murphy; son-in-law, Neil Cataldo. In addition to his wife, David was preceded in death by daughter, Dian S. Cataldo. Family and friends will be received Sunday, April 24, 2022, 2 until 4pm, and 6 until 8pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 10am, Monday, April 25, 2022, in Faith United Presbyterian Church, 900 East Beau Street, Washington, with Rev. Dr. Jason Hefner officiating. All who plan to attend the funeral services are asked to meet at the church on Monday morning. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
