David Lee Johnson, 76, of Washington, died July 17, 2021, at Shadyside Hospital, surrounded by his wife and family. He was a 1963 graduate of McGuffey High School and retired after 36 years at the US Post Office. David served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a loving, caring, patient, and compassionate man. He loved his faith in God and his family. David enjoyed hunting and fishing camp, golfing, and gardening. He was a member of the American Legion Post 175, Washington-Greene Counties Central Labor Council, and was inducted into the Labor Hall of Fame on April 26, 2003. David leaves behind a loving, solicitous family. Friends and family will be received Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, where a service will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 175 Honor Guard. Followed by interment in Queen of Heavens Cemetery.
