David Conway Hatfield Sr.

David Conway Hatfield Sr., 81 of Washington, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Premier Health Center. He was born September 24, 1936 in Washington, the son of the late Ray M. Hatfield and Mary L. Conway Hatfield. David was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Trinity High School maintenance department. He owned an antique car and enjoyed going to car shows. On February 12, 1965, he married Elizabeth L. “Betty” Davis, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Kathy (Mike) Sturkie of Swanson, SC, Suzanne (William) Dee of Colfax, NC and David C. (Amy) Hartfield Jr. of Weirton, WV; two brothers, Charles (Dora) Hatfield of Dubois, PA and Paul (Marlene) Hatfield of Washington; three sisters, Olive Barney of Eighty-Four, Lucille (Bill) Longstreth of Washington; Brenda (Mike) Yanov of Bentleyville; four grandchildren, Jennifer Sturkie, Laken Dee, Lauren Dee and Alex Hatfield; a great grandchild, Alyssa Sturkie. Friends will be received Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Burial is private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
