David Lee Flanagan, 78, of Washington, died Monday, November 13, 2017, in Donnell House.He was born August 19, 1939, in Washington, a son of the late Leroy and Gladys Gray Flanagan. He was a 1957 graduate of Washington High School and served in the Army. Mr. Flanagan worked as a route supervisor for the Observer-Reporter. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with family and all sports. Mr. Flanagan coached boys baseball and girls softball and was a lifetime member of Canonsburg Sportsmen’s Club and Arden Athletic Club. In addition, he was a member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church and American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. On May 31, 1963, he married Judith Zimmerman, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Scot (Sherri) Flanagan of Hickory; a daughter, Kim (Rick) Mohr of Washington; five grandchildren, Timothy Flanagan, Brandon Lesko, Ethan Mohr, Kara (Mike) Martin and Amanda Flanagan; and four great-grandchildren, Callie and Cole Flanagan and Adria and Brooks Martin. Deceased are a brother, Leroy Flanagan; three sisters, Grace Russell, Jean Cain and Ruth Ward; and a grandson, Ryan Flanagan. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 17th. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
