David R. “Dave” Keener, Jr., 43, of Washington, died on April 6, 2022, in his friend’s home. He was born on September 13, 1978, in Washington, to father, David R. (Christine) Keener, Sr., of Canonsburg, and mother, Christine Dunn, of McMinnville, TN. A graduate of McGuffey High School, David went on to earn his electrician degree from Penn Commercial Business/Technical School. He worked as a self-employed electrician. A gifted musician, Dave loved playing the guitar. He loved animals, nature, and spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and he adored his two dogs, Stache and Scout. Surviving are his daughter, Dylin M. Keener, of Canonsburg; his sister, Nichole (Michael) Koss, of Columbus, OH; his nephew, Alexander Koss; aunts and uncles, Daniel (Charlotte) Keener, Dawn Keener, Kim Dunn, and James “Bimbo” (Glennice) Keener; and cousins, little Danny Keener, Celia McClure, Liam Dunn, and Heather Keener. Friends will be received on Sunday, April 10th, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m., and Monday, April 11th, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
