Da'Nyka "Nook" Deleice Thomas

Da’Nyka Deleice “Nook” Thomas 25 of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at her home. Nook was born November 2, 1994 in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of Daniel Thomas Sr., of Charleroi and the late La’Saund Elizabeth Thomas (Shields). Da’Nyka attended Washington High School and worked at Express at Tanger Outlets where she was able to follow her passion for fashion design. Da’Nyka was a free spirit, who could light up a room. She had the best sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. Nook loved life and loved the people in her life but above all her children were the center of her world. She touched everyone who knew her and She was a dedicated mother, sister, daughter, girlfriend, aunt and friend. Her smile and laughter was contagious she was a rare spark in a dark room. She is loved and missed forever and always.  Surviving in addition to her father are her significant other, David M. Smith with whom she shared her home; her daughters, Braylee Thomas; Nakyah Smith and Keira Smith  two sons, Lovelle Thomas and Mario Bledsoe; four siblings, KaLika C. Smith of Pittsburgh, Marshall C. Tucker Jr. girlfriend:Crystal Heitger, of Washington; Dannielle L. Stevenson husband:Anthony Stevenson of Richeyville and Daniel Thomas Jr. wife:Jessica Thomas of Washington; maternal grandfather, Harold Shields Sr. of Pittsburgh.  Nook loved all of her 19 nieces and nephews, Tae’Chaun Sellers, Kaloni Smith, Keilan Smith, K’shya Green, Nevaeh Smith, Amaire Tucker, Hannah Tucker, Veronika Tucker, Jazmine Tucker, Madison Tucker, Zachery Reihner, Peyton Stevenson, Ajaii Stevenson, Tray’von Thomas, Ja’Lynn Thomas, and Travis Thomas. Maternal grandparents: Harold and Maudlin Shields(Ponds). Paternal grandparents Richard Thomas and Margaret Doty(Pope). Father’s girlfriend Cynthia Patterson, many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Thomas family, the Shields Family, the Smith family and extended family and friends. Sorry if anyone’s not listed our beautiful family is too big to fit in this space.   Friends will be received Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 3 to 7 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
