Danielle Marie Dire, 37, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was born April 10, 1980, in Newark, Ohio, a daughter of Danny W. Kemper (Shirley) of Washington and Katherine A. Sidle Walker (Kenneth) of Columbus, Ohio. A 1998 graduate of Licking Valley High School in Ohio, Mrs. Dire was a homemaker and also worked at Romanetti and Sons. She loved her kids, who were the world to her. She also loved animals, and was especially fond of her dog, Bear. Surviving are three children, Hunter L. Romanetti, Marie K. Romanetti and Josh D. Dire; a step-daughter, Makayla Romanetti, all of Hickory; a brother, Erik J. Kemper (Tara) of Weston, West Virginia; her long-time companion, Lee Romanetti of Hickory; her former spouse, Scott Dire of Hickory; grandfather, James Hugh Kemper of Camden, West Virginia; grandmother Beverly Romanetti of Hickory; niece, Josie Kemper; and nephews, Cole Kemper, Jesse Kemper and Seth Kemper. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 22nd, with Pastor Joe DiDonato officiating. Burial will follow in Mt.
